Simple ways give your productivity a boost

If you are feeling a little down, tired, demotivated, lost or in despair, I can guarantee you are not alone. There are a lot of goals out there that have indeed not been met in the first quarter of the year...
As the hustle culture continues to grow, and the slow era continues to be another task on our to-do list that we never get around to, we need to know that we are not falling behind, but mostly falling victim to overconsumption, overstimulation, and overwhelm.
We need to pause. We need to stop.
Stop comparing your journey to others, stop putting so much pressure on yourself, and stop being so critical.
Curb that anxiety with a little momentum, and take control of your goals with these few tips on productivity:
Write down all your goals that you have
By writing down your goals, you create a vision in your mind of how you want your week to play out. You can visually see the goal, reverse-engineer your steps to get there, and be reminded of why. This will bring you clarity and direction.
Reflect on your goals
Look through your goals, and rank them according to the most important for you, and least, as well as set realistic timelines for your goals.
Pick your top three goals
Based off your list and realistic timelines, pick the three goals you would like to focus on for the year / or that week.
Write down your sacrifices to get to your goals
Yup, you need to make sacrifices in your current schedule in order for you to achieve the tasks you have set out for yourself. Thus, next to your goals, list out the changes you will need to make in order to be able to shift your schedule to accommodate time and changes, which will help you work towards your goal.
Plan your schedule
Planning out your schedule in advance with your calendar can help you focus on your goal and tasks that matter the most. Block out time and deadlines to help keep yourself accountable.
Focus on one task at a time
Try not to multitask and avoid all distraction. Get everything you need before you start, block the time off in your calendar, turn off your phone, turn off your emails, and work towards your ONE goal for that set period of time.
Give yourself permission to do the damn thing
You can't level up if you continue to give yourself up for others. So whatever it is, and whatever that sacrifice is, you need to allow yourself the permission to do what YOU need to do to achieve your goal. No excuses. Don’t let anything get in your way of your allocated time.
Take breaks when you need to
Goals need to be sustainable. Thus, if you are feeling like you need to rest, take a break. You want long-term success here.
Just start!
Sometimes the task seems a lot more daunting than what it is, and instead of beginning the task, we put it off and find ways to distract ourselves. The thing is, we do not need to complete the task all at once, nor does it need to be perfect the first time around. Just start, you don't need to climb the whole staircase, you just need to take the first step. Progress over perfection, always!
Reflect
Take a moment each day and at the end of each week to reflect on what you have achieved (no matter how big nor small). This allows you to focus on your successes over the failures, and then carry over whatever needs to be carried over into your new week.
